Jebel Jais Experience

A Jebel Jais Mountain Experience located in United Arab Emirates, is one of the best experience of my life that is unforgettable. The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is a group of seven independent monarchies called Emirates that work together as a single government.

When people first heard about the United Arab Emirates, they thought it was a desert country. Before my first trip to Dubai, I didn’t know much about the country (how naive I was, I wonder now). Even though there was no Metro system or modern tourist attractions like the Burj Khalifa, the Dubai Mall, or the Atlantis, I still had a great time there. I had never been to a mall with a ski slope before, so my time at the Mall of the Emirates was genuinely amazing. In the same way, the most exciting and magical part of my trip was the Desert Safari. The beauty of the Desert sands, the surrounding wilderness, and the central camp were all things I had never seen before, and the thrill and fear of the SUV ride up and down the steep dunes is something I will never forget.

I’m so happy to call this beautiful country my home now. I’ve seen firsthand how quickly the country and Dubai are growing, and I can say there’s always something interesting going on here. Everything in this city is first-rate, from the roads to the public transportation to the green spaces to the seasonal flowers that brighten the streets and neighborhoods during the hot summer. During the fall and winter, the best places to picnic, barbecue, or get together with friends and family are at one of the many clean beaches or large, well-kept parks.

Going Via Jebel Hafeet Mountain

This country has both desert areas of sand and beautiful beaches. It also has some of the most beautiful mountains in the world. Driving up Jebel Hafeet Mountain in a car is my most excellent mountain ride ever. As the weather got colder, I hoped to keep going, and in December 2021, my wish came true. The route is new and hasn’t been set up for tourists yet, but the trip itself is worth it.

You might like this route as much as I did if you want a long trip and sometime in the great outdoors. Only Ghaf trees, common in deserts, grow here, but mountain goats sometimes graze in the area, even on the highest peaks. Even with a hoodie and jeans, I was cold in the evenings at the mountain’s peak, even though I wore several layers. The warm air from the heater in our SUV saved the day. WARNING: The nights at the top of the Jais Mountains may be pretty cold in December, so if you plan to drive there, ensure you have the right winter clothes.

Since I had been to other mountainous places like Kalba and Fujairah, I was excited to see what Jebel Jais would be like. Along Oman’s border is the Hajar Mountains, which include Jais Mountain. The highest peak in the Hajar Mountains is in Oman, but the second-highest peak, Jais Mountain, is in the United Arab Emirates.

On the Way toward Ras Al Khaimah

As soon as we got to Ras Al Khaimah, the Google Maps app on my phone led us to the highway that would take us to the mountains. In the Jais Mountains, we used the app to find a place to eat. Even though the sun was hiding behind clouds in the late afternoon, the scenery was so beautiful that anyone who loves nature would have been hard-pressed to ask for more.

We brought our lunch, which we ate on flat land surrounded by a mountain range. This grassy area has flush toilets, a place to pitch a tent and a business to grill. Outdoor activities like hiking and camping are popular among people who live in the UAE, especially in the winter and spring when it is cooler. From November to February, people want to do things outside, like go on long drives, have barbecues, and go on picnics. A few years ago, I also went on a long trip to Musandam in Oman (the Hajar Mountain range) and camped there during the October Eid holiday.

After stopping for lunch and taking a lot of pictures with the camera and selfies on my phone, we went back up the mountain. The sun gave us a great view and different colors of the mountains, and most cars drove slowly, so the trip was mostly smooth, except for a few speed bumps. Some parts of the hill were lit by beautiful sun rays, while others were in the dark. This made for a strange feeling. Even though I couldn’t drive on this route, I was able to fully enjoy the scenery and take some beautiful photos from the passenger seat of our SUV.

At Top of Jebel Jais

As we got closer to the top, we saw pullouts where people could park their cars and enjoy the view. From above, it was mesmerizing to see how the road wound through the mountains. This considerable amount of natural beauty made me realize how little my life is. Even so, I like the idea that every person on Earth has a place and is essential. We could take picture-perfect photos because of the beautiful scenery, biting wind, and bright sun.

We saw families sitting around fire pits, using grills, setting up tents, and gathering around a makeshift café in the back of a truck. There was hot Karak chai (tea), coffee, water, soft drinks, and snacks like cookies and crackers. There was everything you needed for a picnic, like paper plates and cups. The guy in the cafeteria looked like he had everything the picnic group might need, including food.

Even though you could see the ocean with your own eyes, it looks less apparent in the picture. I’ll be sure to bring the shoes I left at home the next time I’m in the area. After all, this trip was not planned. People who like to hike would do well to buy sturdy boots because a wrong step on the way to any of the nearby mountain peaks after getting out of the car would probably cause a terrible fall. I was too lazy to change out of my flip-flops and enjoy the view, but I saw many other tourists making their way up some of the more accessible slopes. While we drank hot Karak chai, coffee, and cookies from the restaurant and watched the beautiful colors of the sunset on the horizon, we started our way back down the mountain.
